Offers around a big cricket series are loud, yet the rules behind them are thin. This section sets out what the law says and what only a provider’s terms can say.
Bonus bets are a TAB promotion of its own. Alongside it, sign-up offers, free bets, no-deposit bets, matched betting and general promotions are discussed, and “free sports betting” is looked at as a marketing phrase.
How large a bet bonus may be, and what wagering terms attach to it, is not something New Zealand rules have established; the NZ$100 and 200% cap exists for the licensed online casino sector, not betting. Any offshore offer originates with a company that DIA says is breaking the law.
