A cricket scorecard is a record of numbers, and betting strategy is much the same: figures first, opinion later. This section treats tips as claims that need testing.

Guides, calculators and systems sit alongside multi bets, score betting, predictions and the odds themselves, quoted in decimal form (2.10) as is usual in New Zealand. No tip here is a sure bet, and no match is named.

Arbitrage feeds on gaps between several bookmakers’ prices, but only one bookmaker, TAB NZ, is lawful in New Zealand. Lawful spread betting does not exist at all. Virtual sports, meaning wagers on a computer-simulated sporting event, are classed as online casino gambling instead of TAB betting.
